About Us

Who are Duo Serpenti?

We are a non-profit movement of contemporary left-libertarians, advocates of compassion and defiers of tyranny.

We offer self-cultivation advice for free because we believe in the importance of accepting ourselves and our virtues and vices alike, regardless of what others may do and say to oppress us.

We are, by our nature, a pantheistic movement who writes egalitarian manifestos inspired by the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus as well as ancient philosophers, from Aristotle to Confucius.

We strive to defy corruption and bigotry in our societies, most of which are brought upon us by the harmful norms of today's politics and religions.

What does Duo Serpenti believe in?

We believe in and strive to uphold these eight virtues, all of which we include in our egalitarian manifestos:

  1. Loyalty to ourselves
  2. Courage to defy tyranny
  3. Self-acceptance of our vices
  4. Diplomacy, not violence
  5. Patience towards transgressions
  6. Honesty towards ourselves
  7. Confidence in ourselves
  8. Fairness towards each other

Who can join Duo Serpenti and how?

Anyone is welcome to join our movement, free of charge, as long as they are willing to uphold our Eight Virtues of Humanity and our Membership Guidelines, both of which are included in our egalitarian manifestos. We do not charge any fees whatsoever, neither for membership nor our self-cultivation advice.

All members are free to meet and greet however they please. To respect everyone's privacy, we advise all members to identify themselves anonymously and never disclose sensitive personal information.

If any members wish to leave our movement, they are free to leave at any time. We will not force anyone to join or stay in our movement.

If any members break our guidelines by abusing or harming others, we will not allow them to stay in our movement and thus exclude them.

Over one's own body and mind, the individual is sovereign.

John Stuart Mill, philosopher (1806-1873)
